How to Choose a Home Sauna for a Dubai Villa

Custom wood sauna inside a private wellness suite

Choosing a home sauna for a Dubai villa starts with the room, not the catalogue. Who will use it, how quickly it needs to be ready, and whether the space can take a heater, a plunge, or both will narrow the field faster than any feature list. This guide is the short version of the conversation we have on a consultation.

Match the cabin to the habit

  • A short session on a weekday. An infrared cabin warms up quickly inside an air-conditioned room. The Solara is the personal cabin. The Eclipse seats two.
  • A hotter, unhurried ritual. A traditional Finnish cabin uses a stone heater. Look at the Horizon and the Alpine.
  • Both kinds of heat. A hybrid cabin combines infrared with a traditional heater. The Element is the smaller hybrid. The Zenith is the larger one.
  • A garden or terrace. The Terra is a rectangular outdoor cabin. The Boreal is a barrel sauna.

Measure the room and the route in

Note the clear floor, the ceiling height, and the path from the street to the room, including lifts and tight corners. A two-person cabin needs door clearance as well as floor space. A traditional heater needs space above the stones and a planned air path. If the villa is still being finished, a built-in room such as the Atelier can be drawn around the architecture.

Many private suites add a cold plunge beside the cabin. The Arctic is a one-person chiller plunge. The Equinox pairs heat and cold as one contrast setup.

Power and climate

Indoor cabins in UAE homes are normally specified for 220–240V single phase. A traditional stone heater draws more power than a personal infrared cabin, so the electrical point should be agreed before joinery and marble are closed. Outdoor cabins also need shade through the middle of the day, a level base, and a way to keep dust out of the benches and heater.

How to read the starting prices

Each product page shows a price as “From”. That is a starting point for the format, and the consultation confirms wood, heater, delivery, and installation. Personal and two-person infrared cabins start from AED 14,499. Traditional indoor saunas start from AED 23,400. Hybrid cabins start from AED 18,999. Outdoor cabins start from AED 23,999, barrel saunas from AED 26,565, and a bespoke built-in room from AED 35,000. A one-person chiller plunge starts from AED 18,999.

Bring a floor plan or a few room photos. Book a consultation and the studio will tell you which format fits the room.

Before the site visit

Can a cabin go in an apartment?

A personal infrared cabin is the usual candidate, because it needs less electrical capacity than a stone heater. Ceiling height, building rules, and the lift path still have to be checked.

Does the room need its own ventilation?

Traditional and hybrid cabins need a planned air path. An infrared cabin still needs the surrounding room to recover between sessions. Both are part of installation planning.

What should I prepare?

Room dimensions, ceiling height, a photo of the electrical board, and a note on who will use the sauna. That is enough to rule formats in or out.
