Red Light Therapy at Home in Dubai
A red light panel belongs in the same conversation as the sauna and the plunge, not in a spare bedroom with no floor space. The useful home unit is large enough to treat a session as standing in front of it, not hovering a small panel over one shoulder. Meridian’s Prestige is a full-body panel, about 180 by 60 centimetres, using red and near-infrared wavelengths. It starts from AED 15,999.
What to compare
- Coverage. A full-body panel saves you from moving a small light around for half an hour. Half-body and targeted panels are a different product.
- Wavelengths. Home panels in this class commonly combine a red band around 630–660 nm with a near-infrared band around 810–850 nm. Ask which diodes are actually in the panel you are buying.
- Session practicality. You need standing room, a way to set distance, and an electrical point that is not shared with a sauna heater.
- Claims. Use it as part of a recovery routine. It is not a medical treatment, and it does not replace advice from a doctor.
Where it sits in the room
Give the panel a wall in the wellness suite, with space to stand at the distance the manufacturer specifies. Do not block the sauna door or the plunge service gap. If you are still planning that room, the contrast therapy guide and the sauna guide cover the other two pieces. Eye comfort matters: follow the panel’s guidance on looking at the diodes, and keep the session length to what the product specifies.
Ask the studio for the Prestige specification if you want the panel in a villa suite or a boutique gym.
Is a small panel enough?
A small panel is fine for a targeted spot. It is a poor match if the goal is a short, full-body session.
Can it share a circuit with the sauna?
Do not assume so. The panel and the heater should be checked together by the electrician.
How often do people use it?
A few short sessions a week is a common home rhythm. More is not automatically better. Follow the product guidance.
